Kristina L. Sager

SENIOR COUNSEL

Kristina (Kristie) Sager has extensive experience in personal injury matters and previously practiced with AV rated Sacramento civil litigation firms.  Prior to working in the private sector, Kristie served as an Assistant Public Defender for Sacramento County.  Her practice with Jacobsen & McElroy focuses primarily on personal injury defense, including transportation, premises liability, product liability, construction site accidents and other complex civil litigation.

Kristie attended California State University at Chico, where she earned her B.A. in Political Science in 2002.  During her time at Chico State, Kristie was the Administrative Director of the Community Legal Information Center on top of working full time, and playing both softball and hockey. She attended McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2006 and began her legal career as a Public Defender, where she honed her advocacy skills before moving into the private sector in the area of civil defense.  Kristie was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2007 and is licensed to practice law in both state and federal courts.  She is a member of the State Bar of California, Women Lawyers of Sacramento, Association of Defense Counsel, Sacramento County Bar Association, and the Anthony M. Kennedy Inn of Court.  Kristie has been a speaker for the Association of Defense Counsel on Independent Medical Examinations and on Trial Evidentiary issues involving the California Supreme Court’s decision in People v. Sanchez, a critical case involving expert testimony and admissibility issues.

In addition to practicing law, Kristie is also a published author. When Kristie is not practicing law or working on her next novel, she enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, playing ice hockey, curling up with a book, exercising, cooking, watching sports, traveling, and binge watching Netflix and Hulu.
